Community Volunteer Day

Rescheduled due to inclement weather
Community Volunteer Day will now be held Saturday May 1, 2021.

The organizers of the Glendale Community Volunteer Day have announced that the event has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 1st from 9:30am to 3:30pm due to the inclement weather forecast for Saturday, April 24th.   The organizers, Bev Rieckhoff and Cindy Halbauer Taylor, have sent notices to Committee Project Leaders and their volunteers.

The Saturday, May 1st forecast is for sunny/partly cloudy and high 40's in the morning to mid 60's in the afternoon.   The ground will have dried out, and be easier to till and prepare for the new wildflower gardens, and other projects.  The organizers ask that volunteers let them know if they will be unable to participate on the new date.

Bev and Cindy have expressed their thanks to all who have volunteered on this project to make the Village of Glendale even better.  Mayor, Don Lofty, joined them in this sentiment, noting that the spirit of volunteerism is one of the many ways in which our Village is so special among other communities.

The Village of Glendale will be holding a "Community Volunteer Day" on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. to bring together residents and friends to help with special projects in our beloved Village.
