April 6, 2020 Village of Glendale Council Meeting
The Regular Meeting of the Glendale Village Council will be held by video on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 7:00pm. Due to the Order of the Director of the Ohio Department of Health banning large public meetings and the issuance of Executive Order 2020-01-D, declaring a State of Emergency, the Village Council is unable meet in person for the April 6 meeting.
Therefore, the Mayor and Council have determined that the meeting should be held by electronic means under the standards of recently enacted Oho Legislation, HB 197, which among other things, has been interpreted to provide that:
If you comply with the stated conditions – members can hear each other, proper notice was given, and the public can watch - the meeting will qualify as a public meeting compliant with the Open Meeting Law. Members of the public body who “attend” a compliant meeting count for the purposes of a quorum and may vote.
This virtual Council meeting will be available to watch on YouTube Live and it is linked from the ICRCTV web page.
The following link will direct you to the Council meeting: https://www.icrctv.com/video/glendale-village-council-4620. The link will not be live until the meeting starts. The link will also be posted on our www.glendaleohio.org website.
Anyone interested in speaking must provide an email address to be added to the meeting attendees list by Friday, April 3, 2020, 4:00pm at the latest. Speakers will receive email instructions regarding how to obtain speaking access to the meeting. If you have not registered by that time you will be unable to address Council. Under Council Rules, speaking time will be limited to 5 minutes. When that time expires, the speaker’s microphone will be muted, but the speaker may continue to watch and listen to the meeting.
As usual, the meeting will be recorded and placed on the ICRC website a few days after it is held. For those wishing to view the agenda in advance, it will be available later this week on a link to be part of the Friday Newsletter, as well as on the Council Agendas and Minutes page by clicking here.
