Donald A. Lofty was the Solicitor for the Village of Glendale, Ohio during the years 1990-1992. He is planning to return to Glendale in early 2012 and, in the meantime, he will again serve as the Village Solicitor from his current home in Racine, Wisconsin. He has been a member of the Ohio Bar since 1983, as well as a member of the Wisconsin Bar, and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. He is currently with the international consumer products firm, S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. of Racine, Wisconsin, where he has held a number of positions since 1993. He now heads the Company’s Practice Group for Marketing and Regulatory Affairs. From 1982-1993 Mr. Lofty was Vice President, Senior Counsel for The Drackett Company, a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, which was located in Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked as an attorney for Patton, Boggs & Blow from 1975-1982, where he specialized in antitrust and trade regulation law. From 1972-1975 Mr. Lofty worked for the Federal Trade Commission in the Bureau of Competition and as Attorney Adviser to Commissioner Mayo Thompson. Mr. Lofty received his AB from Dartmouth College in 1969 and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center in 1972.
