2009 MEMORIAL DAY PARADE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS This text will be replaced CAPTAIN BRIAN KILGORE'S 2009 MEMORIAL DAY PRESENTATION WHAT MEMORIAL DAY MEANS TO ME ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS AND THEIR WINNING ESSAYS This year's parade Grand Masters were residents, Sam and Louise Allen. The guest speaker was Captain Brian Kilgore, Councilwoman Jenny Kilgore's son. The St. Xavier Marching Band marched with us this year, and Paula Cordes sang for us again. Once again, the winners of the Glendale Elementary Essay Contest were awarded. The Rev. Roger Foote of Glendale Christ Church gave the convocation and this year's flyby was conducted by pilots of the Cincinnati River Rats formation team, which is made up of pilots from the tri-state area, flying 2 seat Van's Aircraft airplanes.
