I am pleased to announce the completion of Washington Park's sidewalks & entry monument project. Dozens of neighbors from all over the Village have stopped by to share their gratitude for the hard work, and design of the integrated system of concrete sidewalks connecting the interactive entry monument, new restroom facilities, recreation areas, picnic shelter, and parking lots. There is a total of 3 distinctive loops (small, medium, & large) approximately 1/16th, 1/8th, & 1/4 mile respectively. The walks also take you by both soccer fields. I've also seen a couple of folks on motorized wheel chairs and lots of parents with strollers circumventing the park.
The entry monument consists of: an "archaic sundial" with a stone North tower and granite squares with roman numerals; a grid pattern in the concrete patio suitable for playing "4 square" with a bouncy rubber ball as we Cincinnati locals played in grade school; there's also a park bench, and landscaping (installed by Cassinelli's Glendale Nursery).
Thank you for the opportunity to serve my Village and my neighbors. (Photos below)

Scott Thurman
